Recently Business.com launched a survey pertaining to the business to business activities with social media outlets like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Within the survey you could learn a lot about the actual actions a company should be taking to benefit the most out of social media application that would involve increase in traffic, leads, or brand awareness.

Here are some very important bullet points that you should really review and implement into your normal SOP’s of search marketing with social media.

Manage an online community for customers or prospects

Participate in Q&A sites (e.g., Yahoo! Answers, LinkedIn, forums, etc.)

Monitor company-related mentions on social media sites

Participate in discussions on 3rd party sites

Maintain one or more company blogs

Recruit employees via social media

Advertise on social media sites

Produce webinars or podcasts

Upload content (e.g., whitepapers, specs, videos) to 3rd party content sharing sites

Monitor competitor mentions on social media sites

Participate in micro-blogging (e.g., Twitter)

Use social bookmarking (e.g., Digg, Delicious, StumbleUpon or other)

Maintain company-related account(s) or profiles on social media sites

Monitor and/or support user ratings & reviews

Obviously, if this is an outline that Business.com is interested in receiving relevant data for then it is wise to make sure that your online exposure is taking advantage of these major factors as well.

This is your social media daily opt.

What’s the craze! Is social media marketing and optimization amplifying the noise in today’s world of online communication, marketing, and business? The answer to that is YES, Social Media is becoming the alternative avenue to everything SEO, PPC, and just plan old search from 2008 to past. In layman’s terms, Social Media could also be expressed as an old marketing trend gone global, meaning that these “word of mouth” efforts that use to exist only offline are now taking the place of major consumer representation and directions on the World Wide Web through social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, an many more. It is interesting enough that the consumer may take control once again to help penetrate marketing decisions by writing personal reviews about companies and topics. Your next purchase may depend on the persuasiveness of another consumer just like you instead of your own.

Why Join Social Networks?

Join Social Networks. Social networking provides a means to promote association and the exchange of knowledge while also establishing business contacts and connections. Post your business profile in the popular social and business networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn, but also make sure to concentrate your attention on your niche audience by joining social media networks that represent and support your business or company’s ideas.
- Tammy Corbett is the resident expert for social media marketing

The bigger network you generate through these social networks will give you a great advantage over your competitor. The more branding, and company news you are able to promote through social media avenues the better chance you will have to build more traffic and retain more positive reviews in the social media workplace.

What’s your social media experience? Do you need help finding profitable ventures in the social media networks?

Ever wonder how some SEO experts out their always seem to have a jump start on marketing? Are you always amazed at how much some of the SEM’s are just one step ahead? Well today we are going to show you how you can keep up with the competition. With all the noise on the web these days it is hard to keep up with the new material when most of them you are gathering the same old information over and over. Here is how you avoid the noise and focus on the tasks or “keywords” at hand:

Choose several keywords that best suit your needs.

Make sure these keywords are suited to your everyday work, competition, business, jargon, etc.

Next, Setup a Google Alerts Subscription

Use the keywords from your list to setup your alerts in Google Alerts. Plug in your keywords and refine the frequency you desire to receive these alerts, (minutes, hours, days).

Finally, Put your Google Alerts to Good Use

Once you start receiving your alerts, navigate through the list of alerts that relates to the keywords you have selected. While browsing the links and the pages that you have visited, look for ways to engage in commentary about that particular topic, even, or keyword that you are targeting. Place in-depth feedback and information that supports the post. Build new contacts, connections, and even link backs from some of the best bloggers on the web.

By staying on top of your alerts allows you focus on the most relevant content and topics aligned for the day. Your daily optimization just got easier with your daily tasks of refining the noise and focusing on your keyword directions.

This has been your daily opt.

Can you remember the late nineties? Can you reflect where you were and what you were doing? Perhaps Larry Page and Sergey Brim can remember the days of number crunching and innovative brainstorming while their expectations were only to develop a search engine that produced accurate and creditable results. Today we vastly depend and rely on this innovative search engine that we are so loyal too. Our loyalty for SEM’s (Search Engine Marketers) relies heavily on Google for personal, professional, and business relationships. Because the motives that drive a simple tweak in the algorithm can suddenly have the phones ringing, the emails flowing, and questions soaring that are all at the mercy of site rankings versus the real outcomes of what Google decides to produce in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).
Anyway, I am not trying to disappoint you on Google’s birthday, but I am trying to recognize the significances of real creditable thinking link Page and Brim did. Creditable thinking is an innovative direction within itself and your work in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) should rely on it. Your most valuable work is the quality of focus and attention that you put forth to develop creditable and strong content that relates to the focus or desired keywords that you want to target.
If you produce like Google has produced in the past 10 years than a decade from now you can also imagine where you will be…

Take a look back at Google in 2001.

In support of our past post on “Link Build Directories That Pass Page Rank & Links” we would like to discuss other motives of link building that bring in strong success rates. Although, link building is primarily done with directories, paid link ads, and press releases, it can also be accomplished through your content and your Link Out quality.

Your Creditability is in your Content

Strong creditable content today is hard to find on the web and not all sites listed in the SERPS (search engine results page) are generating the best content. Due to advertising issues on the web, many so called SPAMMERS make their second income by covering the web with miscellaneous content only to benefit from a click. Your content on your website needs to gain creditability and if you are already writing about topics that you not only enjoy but also know a lot about then you are certainly ahead of the game. The first SEO hint that I would like to provide would be to really brainstorm your content, one post a day is not necessarily better than 3 well orchestrated articles a week, believe me, I have tried both. The second SEO tip would be to provide an image with a alt tage and a title tage, plus some statistics and data that will support your argument and your topic. Developing great content is king, so remember that creditability comes with quality, not necessarily quantity.

Link Out can bring Stronger Results

Did you know that linking out from your article can benefit your creditability in the future? When writing about a topic, especially a blog, you will want to create a topic upon your conversation that allows your readers to develop an overall view of what you are expressing. When readers stumble upon your article or blog post they may find your article interesting and most of all unique, especially if you intertwine your article with another. Most readers on the web are looking for strong content related to their search query and if you can become the source for them to fine what they are looking for then I guarantee that your visitor will be returning to your site for more information.

How has an extra hour developing your content helped you experience stronger results?
*Subscribe to this blog and share your experiences.

Other strong supporting posts that support this topic are:

SEOBook.com provided a valuable article on “The Value of Linking Out: $56m Per Year”

Plus– Drudge Report: News Site That Sends Readers Away With Links Has Highest EngagementWhich certainly shows proof from a list of top 30 news sites for May 2008, it looks like Drudge has a hold of the future…

If you are looking to purchase links within a directory then I would advise buying only a few strong links from the Top 5 Directories that are worth the money. The list below shows a detailed format of the links that you can buy for a health price that for the most part is not frowned upon by Google.

The Top 5 Link Building Directories Are:

1) DMOZ (free, if you can get in…)
2) Yahoo! Directory ($299, it’s a must if you want credit from Yahoo and Google.)
3) Business.com ($199, we do it because everyone else does…)
4) Lii.org (free, must be creditable, if you are not then don’t waste your time.)
5) BOTW ($99.95 Annually, OR $249.96 One-time review)

Yes, here you go, the top 5 directories, but why do we do it… Link building, link creditability… Does it matter? Yes! Is it worth it? Yes! Is it really SEO? NO! Are we doing it because Google authorizes us too? Why must we do this and wear the “white” hat too?

What are thoughts on the direction of SEO? Are you sick and tired of buying links?

Let the world hear your voice, the bots need to hear it…

Enjoy your Daily Opt!

So, out of a ranking of 1 to 5, being 5 the highest ranking, I would have to give this book a ranking of 3.5… I know that putting together 50 strong keyword strategies that are totally brand new or off the wall would be impossible. So, yes, I would recommend buying the book. A good rule of thumb would be that for any hot topics relative to search engine optimization and keyword marketing is worth the read. After all, if you do buy the book it only allows you to have that extra step above all of those SEO’s out there that are still thinking about it…
